This panel is a good example of an entoptic pattern. It's a long "ladder like" motif that stretches vertically from the bottom to the top of the panel. (It is doubtful that it is a ladder, because Native Americans in this region did not make ladders of this type). Entoptics are geometric light images that are generated within the optical system during the hallucinations of a trance.
